Sheet metal is an extension of the part modeling
environment. The sheet Metal enables us to work with predefined attributes (tools)
including: material, bend relief, bend
radius, corner relief, gap values, punch
representations and unfolding rules etc. Most important there is the facality to work on folded or unfoled
model.
Any sheet metal part can be created easily using standard
solid modeling tool. But if you are using
the sheetmetal environment for sheet metal parts modeling, you will save a lot of time and effort.
Specilized attributes (tools) as I
mentioned earlier, eliminat steps, even more updating styles will update the
part. It means modification in design is possible at any stage without wasting
time.
